What do I wear when my husband is a groomsman?
Q. My husband is a Groomsman, he will be wearing the
traditional Black Tux. I am not sure if the Wedding is formal or semi
formal dress. It begins at 4:00 and goes until the booze is gone. I am
not in the wedding but I don't want to look like a slob next to my husband,
please tell me what is acceptable for me to wear?
A. A cocktail dress is appropriate at both formal and
semi-formal weddings, as long as it's reasonably conservative and not
too revealing. Adding some jewelry for sparkle will dress up the outfit
and cover you in case the wedding leans toward formal.
