There used to "written in stone" rules about what a bride should wear when remarrying. Thank goodness, today's encore brides have a lot of freedom to choose, and almost anything goes.

You can if you want to, why not? Today, white represents joy, and there's no reason to avoid it. But consider your coloring and what looks best on you. For many of us, a cream, vanilla or other off-white can be more flattering to our skin tones. Pink works better for some of us. And since it's your second (or more!) wedding, you can really play to your strong points and choose any color you like.

Take a look at your wardrobe and pick out a few of your favorite outfits. Do they have a color theme in common? You have a sense of what colors make you "glow", so you can look your best by staying in your most flattering "palette" for your wedding day.

Some beautiful options include slim, floor-length sheaths, tea-length dresses, and sophisticated suits. As with the color, the style should reinforce your cultivated image. An inventory of your favorite dressy outfits will probably reveal a style theme that works for you. Again, a professional image consultant can be a tremendous help.
